If you’re a serial traveler like me, you’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels, bed and breakfasts and hostels. Not many, however, give off the Colorado vibe like the Hotel Colorado and the Hotel Denver in Glenwood Springs. What do I mean by that?
For starters, a town doesn’t get much more Colorado than Glenwood. You’re close to unbelievable mountain in every direction you turn and you’re in close range of some of the best ski resorts and hot springs you’ll ever find.
For starters, |I will|I’d like to|allow me to} explain the Hotel Colorado. It was erected in the late eighteen hundreds to provide total luxury for many of the most elite Colorado and beyond had to offer. It has been a favorite location for everyone from President Roosevelt the Unsinkable Molly Brown} to the Unsinkable Molly Brown. It was a token of elegance during a thrilling time in the history of not, only our country, but of Colorado.
With this history and purpose for the place in mind, walking into the Hotel Colorado is like going back in time. Every room is designed with the style of Italy of the 1800’s, from the hand-picked artwork to the furniture and Italian wall paper. You almost feel as if you’re staying among some of the most influential characters of all time.
When it’s time to go out to dinner or sit and enjoy a fine bottle of wine, you’re absolutely in the right hotel at the Hotel Colorado. Glenwood Springs Colorado Dining
The Hotel Denver provides the same sense of importance and adventure as the Hotel Colorado with very exclusive and luxurious accommodations. The location of the hotel, now 7th Street but a long time ago referred to as Riverfront, was the home of many watering holes and even a red light district until the prohibition. It’s {much of|quite|definitely| a different look today, but still bit as cultured and beautiful.
A favorite aspect of the Hotel Denver is the variety of so many different styles of elegant setups. The Cupola is the largest one the hotel has to offer, but that’s not the sole reason it’s unique. It also boasts a private rooftop Jacuzzi! It doesn’t get much more rock star than that. Other cool rooms in the hotel are the Penthouse donning a private deck and Jacuzzi with an unbeatable view of the town, and six other types of accommodations including a simple Value Room with only the basic stuff, but still very lovely and welcoming.
Both of the world-class hotels are within close range to the hot springs, bike trails, top-notch rafting, shopping, fine dining, and some of the best skiing and riding our state has to offer.
So where are you planning your next getaway? Glenwood Springs is only 157 miles from the Mile High City and even less to most everything on the western slope. Chances are, the variety of accommodations by itself is enough to keep you coming back each and every year.
Glenwood Springs Accommodations are sure to leave guests wanting to come back.
